A Mat Ryan fumbled gifted Perth Glory a 1-0 win in sweltering conditions in Perth on Sunday afternoon.

Perth opened the game with the first effort of the game thanks to Billy Mehmet but Ryan was at hand to save.
After a slow but understandable start both sides took a drinks break in 40 degree weather.

But Five minutes after the drinks break Ryan gifted Travis Dodd the opening goal. Ryan spilled the ball for Dodd to easily tap home.

Soon after Tom Rogic tried a spectacular effort but the recent called up Olyroo curled his effort over.
In stoppage time Dodd was looking to kick in the teeth of the Mariners  but after cutting in the former Adelaide winger’s effort was well saved by Ryan.

But after the break Glory were dealt a blow when Captain Jacob Burns looked to crack his rib in after Jose Rose elbowed the former Leeds youngster in the chest.

Andrezinho was next looking for a second goal but Ryan got down quickly denying the Brazilian.

Daniel McBreen for the visitors, who played in negative degree weather midweek in China, shot their second shot over with only minutes to go.

Glory though were able to hold on and look likely to host a home final.
