Victory went right up the other end as Hernandez played in Archie Thompson. The Socceroos forward audaciously lobbed Pasfield but the great effort wasn’t on target.

Two minutes later Central Coast were down to ten as Trent Sainsbury was given a straight red card for a challenge on Fabio. The young defender’s tackle was reckless and studs were shown in the challenge on the Brazilian.

Jeggo next was found all on his own at the back stick but curled his effort wide as the youngster looked for his first A-League goal.

With time running out Pasfield was in the action again and denied Thompson’s curling effort with a great save to keep the deficit to one but Victory were able to hold for the win.
